The FLOW International Drawing Competition, based in Schwedt on the Oder, is one of the most prestigious drawing competitions in Germany. The competition has a long tradition. The first preliminary round took place as early as 1968. The working title at the time \u201cAlong the Friendship Oil Pipeline\u201d<\/strong> became its official name. Countries along the pipeline route participated in this competition. Over the years, this principle was superseded by social upheavals and changes in ownership.
\nEvery year, around 2000 children and young people from all over the world send their work to Schwedt in a wide variety of techniques and on a wide variety of themes.<\/p>\n

The closing date for registration is 30 May each year.<\/p>\n

Nach Auswahl durch eine internationale Jury<\/strong> werden j\u00e4hrlich rund 600 Arbeiten in der Er\u00f6ffnungsausstellung an den Uckerm\u00e4rkischen B\u00fchnen Schwedt sowie anderen \u00f6ffentlichen Einrichtungen der Stadt gezeigt. Anschlie\u00dfend folgen Wanderausstellungen der preisgekr\u00f6nten k\u00fcnstlerischen Arbeiten im Landkreis Uckermark und im Land Brandenburg. Ebenso entstehen jedes Jahr Ausstellungen zu verschieden Themen, die auch im Ausland pr\u00e4sentiert werden.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth participating! In addition to attractive cash and non-cash prizes, the winners in age groups III and IV are invited to an art camp in Schwedt every year.<\/strong> eingeladen.<\/p>\n

The patron of the international drawing competition is Steffen Freiberg, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport of the State of Brandenburg. It has been organised by the city of Schwedt\/Oder since 2025. This unique competition is sponsored by the Brandenburg Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, the city of Schwedt\/Oder and the district of Uckermark.<\/p>\n<\/div>
